Lessons
What days/times are the lessons?
Our lessons run throughout the whole week from morning to evening.
Despite high demands, we strive to find a lesson day/time that is best for your child.
Do you offer group lessons?
At the moment, we are only providing private lessons. However, if you already have two or more people who would like to have group lessons, please feel free to contact us to arrange a group lesson.
What coding languages do you teach?
JavaScript (using the p5.js platform) - text based lessons.
Scratch - blocked based lessons.
My child has never coded before, is this okay?
Yes, we welcome children of all abilities to join. After your first lesson, we can make sure to place your child on a project that is suitable for their coding learning. Our teachers are highly trained to be able support and encourage complete beginners as they begin their coding journey.
What ages are your classes designed for?
Our weekly lessons are creatively tailored to engage children aged 6-14. As students advance, the material becomes increasingly complex. Younger learners will start with block-based coding languages like Scratch, while older students will delve into text-based languages such as JavaScript.
How often are the lessons?
Once a week. Your child will have a 60-minute coding lesson on the same day/time each week.
How long are the lessons?
Each weekly lesson is 60 minutes of coding fun and challenges. The session begins with a warm welcome from the teacher, followed by an overview of the learning objectives and an introduction to the day’s theme. At the end of the lesson, the teacher will review the coding concepts covered and explain how they were applied in the students' projects.
Will there be any homework?
We don't assign mandatory homework, but we do offer optional challenges and bonus activities for students to complete between lessons. We also encourage children to share any projects they’ve been working on outside of class.

There's no minimum commitment, so you can cancel your subscription anytime before your next monthly payment is due.
Are there any hidden charges?
None at all.
Technical
How do I access the video call?
All our lessons take place on Microsoft Teams. You don't need to download Microsoft Teams as it can be accessed via your web browser. Before each session, you’ll receive an email with all the details and tips to ensure a smooth online experience—just click the provided link and enter the password to join. It's essential to have an adult present at the beginning of each session to help kids get settled and ready to learn.
Will my child need have their camera on?
While it's not required, students benefit the most from the session if their cameras are on, as it helps create a classroom-like atmosphere. It also enables teachers to provide timely, individualised support to each student.
What equipment is required for the lessons?
You'll need a laptop or desktop computer. Unfortunately, phones, tablets, and Chromebooks are not supported for our lessons. You'll also need a webcam and microphone. For younger students, especially those who find it difficult to use a trackpad, we highly recommend using a mouse.
Can my child join on a tablet or phone?
Unfortunately, not. Many of our coding platforms don't work on tablets. Using a tablet also diminishes the learning experience, as students can't screen share or allow their teacher remote access.
Can we use two separate monitors?
We understand that students may prefer an extra screen to keep their coding program and video call separate. We recommend connecting a second monitor to the main laptop or computer. It's best to avoid using two different devices, as this would prevent the student from sharing their projects with the teacher.
Does an adult need to be present during the lesson?
As a parent or carer, you're responsible for your child during each lesson. At the start of each session, your child may need help getting started—we'll provide comprehensive support and guidelines in advance, including a helpful troubleshooting guide. Once the lesson begins, children are comfortable learning independently in a safe environment.
